Mission Statement

     "To encourage and promote the proper recycling of used oil, oil filters, used antifreeze and other automotive and industrial materials through education and the development of legislation and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels which will protect human health and the environment."

Code of Ethical Business Practices

The members of NORA, An Association of Responsible Recyclers, are committed to the following standards of ethics in conducting their business activities.

A member of NORA, An Association of Responsible Recyclers will:

  • cooperate with and assist regulatory agencies by providing full and accurate information concerning recycling services;
  • accurately state the performance capabilities of products or services;
  • conduct regular testing to safeguard against contamination of product;
  • comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations;
  • endeavor at all times to provide products and services which promote the protection of human health and the environment through adherence to regulatory controls and implementation of appropriate management standards; and
  • Not misrepresent or unfairly characterize the performance capabilities of a competitor’s product or service.
