Industry Councils
The Councils of NORA are organized groups, which meet to work on regulatory and legislative issues that affect that particular industry
council group. Members of these councils work on special projects with consultants and actively promote their services and products.
Chemical Recycling Council Chair: Carl Evers, Systech Environmental Corp.

This council was formed in 2000 with the merger between The National Association of Chemical Recyclers and NORA. The Chemical
Recycling Council has its own regulatory and legislative agenda made up of issues that concern those members who are involved with solvent recycling, fuel blending and hazardous waste. The CRC
works through the Governmental Affair Committee on all pertinent matters.
Parts Cleaning Council Chair: Tom Schroeder, Safety-Kleen Coordinator: Sandy Hunt
Current Information
This council was formed in 1999 when the National Independent Parts Cleaners Association merged with NORA. The Parts Cleaning
Council has its own regulatory and legislative agenda made up of issues that concern those members who are in the parts cleaning industry. The PCC works through the Governmental Affairs Committee on
its issues.
Used Oil Recycling Council Chair: Don Littlefield, Total Waste Management
Coordinator: Sandy Hunt Current Information
This council was formed in 2000 to create a group whose focus is used oil recycling and related business sectors such as used oil
filters, recycled antifreeze, re-refining and wastewater treatment. The UORC develops its own agenda of regulatory and legislative issues. The UORC issues are brought to the Governmental
Affairs Committee to be addressed and managed.
